Ferrari is setting sail—literally—with a revolutionary project that brings the Italian marque’s motorsport DNA to the high seas. The new Ferrari Hypersail is not just a yacht; it’s a statement of engineering ambition, combining cutting-edge innovation with Ferrari’s relentless pursuit of performance.

Inspired by Racing Heritage

The name Hypersail draws from Ferrari’s Hypercar lineage, symbolizing peak performance in endurance racing. Much like its land-based cousins, Hypersail aims to push technological boundaries, this time across the open ocean.

Serving as an advanced R&D platform for offshore sailing, the Hypersail project leverages Ferrari’s design and engineering expertise in partnership with top marine professionals. From concept development to testing, Ferrari plays an active, hands-on role.

Designed by Guillaume Verdier

Renowned naval architect Guillaume Verdier leads the design of the Hypersail yacht—a 100-foot foiling monohull prototype engineered to fly above water. One of the yacht’s standout innovations is the integration of a foil into a canting keel, a first in its class. The other two contact points include a foil-mounted rudder and alternating lateral foils, providing stability and lift.

A Milestone in Sustainable Sailing

Ferrari Hypersail is also set to become the first energy self-sufficient vessel of its size, powered exclusively by renewable energy sources. The yacht is currently under construction in Italy, with sea trials expected to begin in 2026.

This groundbreaking venture signals Ferrari’s commitment to sustainable innovation and its willingness to explore new frontiers, all while staying true to its performance-first philosophy. Whether on land or sea, Ferrari continues to shape the future of high-performance mobility.
