Applications Now Open for the Defender Trophy: An Epic Journey to Africa
Defender has officially launched the application process for the “Defender Trophy,” a unique program designed to offer participants an unforgettable adventure. Inspired by the iconic Trophy and Challenge events of the past, this exclusive journey promises excitement, discovery, and prestige, culminating in a global final in Africa in October 2026.
Participants who successfully navigate the two-stage selection process will have the chance to use their skills for a meaningful cause. In collaboration with TUSK, Defender’s conservation partner for over 20 years, the finalists will contribute directly to the protection of wildlife and biodiversity. The Defender Trophy is more than just an off-road challenge; it is a mission to create a positive global impact and leave a lasting legacy.
The Roadmap to the Final

- Application Deadline: Prospective candidates must fill out the “Defender Trophy Interest Form” to receive the global application link. All applications must be completed by March 10, 2026.
- Regional Qualifiers (June 2026): Successful applicants from over 50 countries will be invited to the regional qualifiers held at Les Comes, Spain.
- The Global Final (October 2026): Finalists will travel to Southern Africa for a nature conservation program in partnership with TUSK. Here, they will engage in hands-on efforts to protect endangered wildlife while navigating the continent’s most challenging terrains.
Testing Limits and Team Spirit

The Defender Trophy is designed to test every facet of an adventurer’s capability. While participants compete in pairs, scoring is based on individual performance. The challenge includes:
- Driving & Navigation: Technical trails, rocky slopes, and obstacle-filled paths.
- Mental Fortitude: Problem-solving tasks that require strategic decision-making under pressure.
- Physical Endurance: Teamwork-oriented tasks involving canyon crossings and river stages.

With the Defender Trophy, we are bringing together people from different nations to face challenging terrains for a greater cause. Alongside TUSK, we aim to deliver not just an unforgettable experience, but a legacy we can all be proud of.”
