Toyota has introduced another exciting motorsport-inspired model: the GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition. Developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, the special edition was revealed at the Monte Carlo Rally—the opening race of the 2026 World Rally Championship (WRC).

This limited-edition model was created to commemorate Sébastien Ogier winning the 2025 Drivers’ Championship with the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team. The 2025 title fight was a historic battle that lasted until the final stage of the Rally Saudi Arabia. Competing in 11 rallies throughout the season, Ogier secured 5 victories and 10 podium finishes, clinching a record-equaling ninth World Championship.

Unveiled at the 2026 Season Opener in Monaco

To honor Ogier’s legendary status and the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries, Toyota developed this exclusive version of the GR Yaris. The prototype was unveiled at the iconic Monaco harbor just before the start of the rally, where Ogier is competing for his 11th victory in the event. Production will be strictly limited to 200 units worldwide, with 100 units allocated for the European market.

Engineering Built for a Champion

The Ogier Edition is based on the new GR Yaris Aero Performance package but features unique technical and aesthetic touches requested by the French champion:

  • Exclusive 4WD Modes: Two new AWD control modes replace the standard “Gravel” and “Track” settings:

  • ‘SEB’ Mode: Developed specifically with Ogier, this mode uses a 40:60 front-rear torque distribution. It is designed to maintain front-wheel steering precision while utilizing rear-wheel drive force for superior control.
  • ‘MORIZO’ Mode: Reflects the driving style preferred by Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda (aka “Morizo”), maximizing traction and turning performance.
  • Aero & Performance: Features the latest 1.6-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine (producing 280 DIN hp and 390 Nm), enhanced body rigidity, and a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) lightweight rally spoiler.

A Cockpit Inspired by the Special Stages

The interior and exterior design blend functional rally requirements with elegant commemorative details:

  • Exterior: Finished in the newly developed “Black Gravite” color—symbolizing Toyota’s 2025 motorsport activities—and complemented by matte black wheels. The brake calipers are finished in Ogier’s signature blue, while the radiator grille features a tricolor French flag accent.
  • Interior: The cabin features blue, gray, and red stitching. The steering wheel has a smaller diameter and a redesigned button layout based on the GR Yaris Rally2 car.
  • Commemorative Touches: A special serial-number plate on the dashboard celebrates Ogier’s 2025 title, and the full TFT gauge display features exclusive “SEB” and “MORIZO” graphics.
