Peugeot, the renowned French automotive brand, has announced a major leadership transition. After dedicating 20 years to the company, Linda Jackson has retired, passing the CEO position to Alain Favey. Reporting to Jean-Philippe Imparato, Stellantis’ Enlarged Europe Chief Operating Officer, Favey now assumes the role of CEO for Peugeot. Expressing his enthusiasm for this new chapter, Favey stated, “Throughout my 35-year career in the automotive industry, taking on new challenges has always been my driving force. We are at a technological and societal turning point in our relationship with automobiles, and I believe Peugeot, with its creativity and innovative spirit, is a key player in this evolution.”
Peugeot, a brand known for combining sporty driving with cutting-edge technology, is set for a dynamic future under its new leadership. Alain Favey, a graduate of HEC Paris (École des Hautes Études Commerciales), spent the first 20 years of his career at PSA Group, where he held key managerial positions for Citroën in Denmark, Belux, the UK, Italy, and France. In 2009, he joined Volkswagen AG, where he played an instrumental role in Porsche Holding, Skoda, and Bentley, taking on high-level international positions. Most recently, since June 2023, he has been serving as CEO of Europcar Mobility Group. As of February 3, 2025, he officially takes the helm at Peugeot, marking his return to the Stellantis family.
Taking over from Linda Jackson, Alain Favey highlighted the significance of this transition, saying, “I am honored and excited to lead Peugeot into the future. Rejoining Stellantis is a return to my roots, and I see thrilling opportunities ahead.
