Chery Surpasses 1.26 Million Sales in H1 2025, Maintaining Title as China’s Top Automotive Exporter
Chinese automotive giant Chery continues its upward trajectory, achieving remarkable global sales growth in the first half of 2025. With 233,607 vehicles sold in June alone (up 16.6% YoY), the company exceeded 1.26 million units sold in the first six months of the year—a 14.5% year-over-year increase and its highest-ever first-half performance.
Global Momentum and Export Leadership

Chery surpassed the 1 million sales milestone within just five months, marking the fastest pace in the brand’s history. Exporting 550,270 vehicles during this period, Chery retains its crown as China’s top automotive exporter. Its total global user base now stands at 16.98 million.
The brand’s robust sales were bolstered by its advanced new energy solutions, especially the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, which helped nearly double its NEV (New Energy Vehicle) sales—a staggering 98.6% YoY growth.
CSH Technology: Proven Performance in Real-World Conditions
Backed by 24 years of hybrid expertise, Chery launched the groundbreaking Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology in April. Featuring an integrated hybrid powertrain with a high-efficiency hybrid engine, DHT, and Guardian Battery Safety System, the CSH platform delivers long range, high efficiency, and versatile performance in real-world conditions.
The TIGGO CSH models have outperformed certified range figures in independent tests by Top Gear South Africa, reaching up to 1,374 km on a single charge. Chery also completed the 1,400 km Sanxia-to-Shanghai “Endless Horizons” challenge, proving its endurance across varied driving scenarios.
Safety-First Engineering
Chery’s commitment to vehicle safety is evident through industry-first global extreme-condition tests conducted in harsh environments: freezing cold, high heat, high humidity, rugged terrain, and high-speed impact. The CSH battery passed a 53-hour saltwater immersion test in Jakarta with zero leakage or thermal runaway.
Additional crash tests, including 7-car collisions, high-speed rollovers, and frontal impacts, further demonstrated the advanced safety capabilities of Chery’s latest generation vehicles.
European Expansion Accelerates

Europe remains a strategic frontier for Chery. Following WVTA certification in January, the company ramped up its localization strategy, forming key partnerships in Greece, Hungary, Romania, and the Czech Republic, and showcasing the TIGGO and CSH lineup in Spain and Poland.
Chery also earned industry recognition by topping the Kantar x Google Top 50 Chinese Global Brand Builders (Automotive Category) and being named the only automaker on the Forbes China Sustainable Development Industrial Enterprises list in June.
Advanced R&D and AI-Powered Innovation
Chery operates 8 global R&D hubs and has conducted over 12.5 million kilometers of global road testing. Its AI-powered AiMOGA robot has drawn significant attention at international auto shows and completed its first overseas delivery.
With a core focus on safety, a technological foundation, and customer-centric values, Chery has built a fully integrated global operation. As of mid-2025, it has delivered 1.26 million vehicles worldwide and grown its customer base to nearly 17 million.
This momentum underscores Chery’s ambition to lead not only as a global exporter but also as a transformative force in intelligent mobility.
