One million trucks produced. Millions of transport stories. Countless challenges overcome worldwide.

Since 1964, Renault Trucks‘ Bourg-en-Bresse factory has been at the heart of long-haul and construction truck manufacturing. Now, it has reached a major milestone—producing its one-millionth truck. This achievement follows the factory’s 60th anniversary celebration in September 2024, marking another step in its legacy of industrial expertise and innovation.

A Pillar of the French Automotive Industry for 60 Years

For six decades, the Bourg-en-Bresse facility has played a crucial role in France’s automotive industry, witnessing the evolution of legendary models from the Berliet GBC, GLR, and CBH to the iconic Renault Magnum and, more recently, the Renault Trucks T. Since 2023, the factory has also been at the forefront of sustainable transport, launching the serial production of the Renault Trucks E-Tech T and C electric models.

Unlike traditional automotive factories with mass production lines, each truck built in Bourg-en-Bresse is customized to meet specific customer requirements. Today, the facility manufactures an average of 25,000 trucks annually.

Renault Trucks T: A Benchmark in Long-Haul Transport

The one-millionth vehicle produced at Bourg-en-Bresse is a Renault Trucks T. Designed for efficiency, comfort, and fuel economy, this model has been a benchmark for European logistics professionals since its launch in 2013. Over the years, it has undergone significant technological advancements to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Since 2023, the fully electric Renault Trucks E-Tech T has also been assembled at the same facility.

This milestone vehicle is also the 126,600th Renault Trucks T model built at the Bourg-en-Bresse plant.

One-Millionth Truck Delivered to Portuguese Logistics Firm TJA

The one-millionth truck will join the fleet of TJA, a key player in Iberian transport. With a long-standing partnership with Renault Trucks, TJA is actively investing in energy-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles. The Renault Trucks T, chosen for its optimized fuel consumption, is part of TJA’s recent order of 120 units.

Renault Trucks President Bruno Blin commented:
“Producing our one-millionth truck at Bourg-en-Bresse is a testament to Renault Trucks‘ capacity for innovation, the excellence of our industrial facilities, and the dedication of our teams. We are proud to deliver this vehicle to TJA, a valued long-term partner who shares our commitment to more efficient and sustainable transport.”
