Fiat Grande Panda Named ‘Best Urban Car of the Year’

The Spanish magazine Mujer Hoy has honored the Fiat Grande Panda with the prestigious Best Urban Car of the Year award.
The jury recognized the model for its distinctive style, hybrid and electric lineup, and innovative features that make it an ideal city car.
At the 13th edition of the Motor Awards in Madrid, the Fiat Grande Panda stood out, securing the Best Urban Car of the Year title. Mujer Hoy, a renowned women’s magazine, praised the model for blending smart and practical solutions within a compact design. The panel, evaluating the car from a female perspective, highlighted its originality and forward-thinking approach.
Designed at FIAT Centro Stile in Turin, the Grande Panda stays true to the legacy of the 1980 Panda while merging Italian elegance with functionality. The model aims to meet the diverse needs of a wide customer base, offering economic and eco-friendly solutions.
Sustainability plays a key role in the Grande Panda’s design. The vehicle incorporates recycled materials, such as blue-colored interior components made from repurposed beverage cans and dashboard elements featuring real bamboo fibers. These sustainable materials reinforce the car’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
With compact dimensions—1.57 meters in height, 1.76 meters in width (excluding mirrors), and a length of 3.99 meters—the Grande Panda stands out with its innovative approach and creative practicality.
One of the standout features in the electric variant is the integrated, retractable spiral charging cable, designed for convenience. This built-in cable supports AC charging up to 7 kW, neatly stored under the hood to preserve trunk space while ensuring a clean and user-friendly experience. Additionally, the model offers 100 kW DC fast charging and an 11 kW AC charging port option.
As the first FIAT model built on Stellantis’ Smart Car Platform, the Grande Panda is set to launch in Turkey during the summer months.
