Hyundai Wins Eight IDEA Awards, Achieving a Design Grand Slam

Hyundai Motor Company has reinforced its global design leadership by securing eight awards across four categories at the 2025 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). With this success, Hyundai completed a “grand slam,” winning at all four of the world’s top design competitions this year — iF Design, Red Dot, Good Design, and now IDEA.

Hyundai’s Award-Winning Designs

Hyundai stood out with groundbreaking projects across mobility, sustainability, and robotics:

  • Automotive & Transportation Category: The all-electric IONIQ 9 SUV earned a Bronze Award, while the all-new PALISADE and the hydrogen-electric concept INITIUM were both recognized as Finalists.

  • Environment Category: The CX Smart Farm at Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) won Silver, and the Na Oh restaurant was selected as a Finalist. Both highlight Hyundai’s ability to combine brand design expertise with innovative, human-centered spaces.

  • Curator’s Choice Award: The CX Smart Farm also received the exclusive Curator’s Choice Award, given to only one project each year regardless of category. This marks the second consecutive year Hyundai has won this rare honor, following its 2024 recognition for the Heritage: Retrace Collection Book ‘PONY’.

  • Commercial & Industrial Category: The X-ble Shoulder industrial exoskeleton, developed by Hyundai and Kia Robotics Lab, was named a Finalist.

  • Service Design Category: Hyundai’s Automatic Charging Robot (ACR) service was also awarded Finalist status.
