Bernard Krone, CEO of the KRONE Group, a leading brand in the European and Turkish trailer sectors, visited the company’s production facility in the Tire Organized Industrial Zone.
Inspections were conducted on the chassis production and assembly lines, followed by a meeting with Tire Mayor Hayati Okuroğlu and TOSBI Regional Manager Oğuz Düztaş. Confidence in Turkey’s manufacturing strength and qualified workforce was emphasized.
During the visit, Bernard Krone inspected the chassis production and assembly lines, gaining firsthand insights into quality processes, supply chain integration, and export-focused production capabilities.
Following the facility tour, a meeting was held with Hayati Okuroğlu, Mayor of Tire, and Oğuz Düztaş, Regional Manager of TOSBI (Tire Organized Industrial Zone), where discussions focused on strengthening the regional industrial ecosystem, increasing qualified employment, and promoting sustainable manufacturing practices.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mayor Hayati Okuroğlu presented Bernard Krone with a plaque of appreciation for the company’s contributions and investments in the regional economy.

During his visit, Bernard Krone specifically thanked the KRONE Turkey team, led by Kartal Erköy, General Manager of KRONE Commercial Vehicles, and Semih Pala, General Manager of KRONE Trailer International, for the transformation and success achieved, particularly over the last three years, and stated:

The young and qualified workforce here, the flexible supplier ecosystem, and the high quality standards form the basis of the reliability we offer our customers. Furthermore, our Tire factory serves as an exemplar for KRONE’s global production network with its pioneering applications in the fields of digitalization and lean manufacturing.
Turkey is a robust market with its own dynamics. We observe that success here is reinforced not only by product quality but also by customer proximity, financial solutions, after-sales services, and exports to countries. This approach demonstrates the solid foundation upon which KRONE’s structure in Turkey is built.
Especially regarding digital transformation and lean manufacturing, the Tire facility has become a production center that inspires KRONE‘s other factories and is cited as a prime example of successful implementation.
