Iconic Italian automaker Maserati has entered a new partnership with SRO Motorsports Group, securing its role as the Official Safety Car and Leading Car provider for the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season.

As part of the agreement, the Maserati GT2 Stradale—the road-going version of the brand’s GT2 race car—will serve as the Safety Car. Powered by the brand’s signature V6 Nettuno engine, the GT2 Stradale accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 324 km/h, offering both track-ready performance and road-legal sophistication.

Finished in Nero Pastello (matte black), the GT2 Stradale will take the lead in ensuring on-track safety. Meanwhile, the Bianco Pastello (matte white) Maserati MC20 will be featured as the Leading Car throughout the racing season. Equipped with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and advanced aerodynamic design, the MC20 is expected to stand out with its striking presence and agile performance.

This strategic partnership further strengthens the bond between Maserati and SRO Motorsports Group. Maserati has long been associated with motorsport excellence, particularly with historic GT1 successes through legendary models like the MC12. More recently, the brand has re-entered the international sports car scene by debuting its GT2 model in the GT2 European Series, marking a significant step in its modern motorsport journey.
