The British driver kicked off the weekend with an impressive qualifying performance, reaching the Duels final and securing P2 on the front row. During Saturday’s race, Rowland climbed into the lead before completing his Pit Boost on Lap 18. Utilizing Attack Mode strategically in the final four minutes, he showcased exceptional pace and overtaking skills to reclaim the lead and cross the finish line first—claiming his third win of the season.

On Sunday, Rowland again showed consistency by finishing in P2 after starting from pole position, navigating intense racing conditions and a tight battle that included a 50-50 overtaking moment where he chose to yield to avoid penalties. His combined results extended his lead in the Drivers’ Championship to 115 points, while Nissan Formula E Team solidified its second-place standing in the Teams’ Championship with 126 points, closing the gap to the leaders. Nissan also continues to lead the Manufacturers’ Standings after seven rounds.

Driver Quotes

Oliver Rowland – Driver, Nissan Formula E Team:

“It doesn’t get much better than a win and a second place in Monaco! On Saturday, we nailed the strategy and timed the Pit Boost and Attack Mode to perfection. I had to pull off a few key overtakes toward the end, and everything came together perfectly.

On Sunday, I got stuck in second and lost some time trying to manage a tricky 50-50 overtake, which I had to reverse to avoid a penalty. Still, second place is a great result, and with Saturday’s win and Sunday morning’s pole position, it was a really strong weekend overall. I’m now focused on maintaining this momentum in Tokyo—our home race and a track I really enjoyed last season. I can’t wait to get back out there.”

Norman Nato – Driver, Nissan Formula E Team:

“Saturday was tough—I struggled with pace and we had some issues with the car from FP1, which made it hard to score points. The team made several changes overnight and I felt better during FP3 on Sunday. However, the rain during qualifying and the race made conditions very slippery, and with such close racing, there wasn’t much room to make moves.

It was a weekend to forget for me, but there are plenty of races ahead—starting with Tokyo in two weeks—and I’m determined to bounce back on home soil.”
