For five consecutive years, Toyota has remained the world’s most preferred automaker, continuing to stand out with its multi-mobility strategy encompassing various solutions. With a diverse product range that includes full hybrids, plug-in hybrids, all-electric, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, Toyota addresses the needs of different users worldwide, positioning itself as a mobility company that shapes the industry.

By the end of 2025, Toyota will introduce entirely new and enhanced electric vehicles strategically positioned in key segments of the European automotive market. These models will blend Toyota‘s distinctive SUV characteristics with an electric vehicle architecture, emphasizing practicality, modern design, energy efficiency, and all-wheel drive options.

Toyota’s globally recognized reputation for quality, durability, and reliability extends to its all-electric vehicles. The brand ensures high-quality standards by integrating an extended battery program. With annual battery health checks, Toyota guarantees that its batteries will retain at least 70% of their capacity for up to 10 years or 1 million kilometers.

A Sophisticated Electric SUV: The New Toyota C-HR+

Toyota has unveiled the all-new, all-electric Toyota C-HR+, making a significant impression. Inspired by the highly popular Toyota C-HR, which has achieved impressive global sales figures, this new model is scheduled for release in Europe by the end of 2025.

Drawing from the coupe-style design elements of the original Toyota C-HR, which has sold over 1 million units worldwide since 2016, the Toyota C-HR+ will feature an advanced aerodynamic design and a premium interior. Developed from the Compact SUV concept introduced in 2022, this model promises a sophisticated, fully electric driving experience.

Equipped with a cutting-edge 14-inch multimedia display, the technologically advanced and spacious cabin ensures maximum comfort for all passengers. With a length of 4,520 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, the Toyota C-HR+ offers class-leading interior space.

Powered by an efficient electric motor, the Toyota C-HR+ will be available with two battery capacity options: 57.7 kWh and 77 kWh. Delivering power outputs ranging from 167 HP to 243 HP, this model will provide dynamic performance and an all-wheel drive option. Additionally, it will support fast DC charging at speeds of up to 150 kW.

Toyota Unveils the New bZ4X and Urban Cruiser

Toyota’s first all-electric model, the bZ4X, developed on the eTNGA platform, is a standout D-segment SUV. Initially introduced in 2022, the model will undergo significant visual and technical upgrades before its 2025 relaunch. The new bZ4X will come with multiple battery capacity options and more powerful electric motors.

Toyota has also showcased the all-new Urban Cruiser, developed from the Urban SUV concept introduced in 2023. With a bold design and compact dimensions, the Urban Cruiser will be positioned in the B-SUV segment. Its cabin will feature a sliding rear seat system, providing superior legroom compared to its competitors. The Urban Cruiser will be offered with two battery capacities—49 kWh and 61 kWh—utilizing lithium-iron-phosphate battery technology for enhanced durability and cost efficiency. Customers will have the option to choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

Toyota’s Electric Vehicle Strategy for 2026 and Beyond

Toyota aims to launch six new all-electric models by the end of 2026. Following the naming strategy adopted for the Toyota C-HR+ and Urban Cruiser, upcoming models will maintain traditional Toyota nomenclature for better consumer recognition.

Looking ahead, Toyota plans to revolutionize electric vehicle technology with groundbreaking battery innovations. The next-generation battery solutions previewed in 2023 include cost-effective, high-performance, and ultra-high-performance battery variants. Toyota’s solid-state battery technology is expected to transform EV range and charging times, paving the way for the future of electric mobility.
