The Chinese automotive giant, Chery, hosted a large-scale Global Test Drive Event as part of the 2025 Chery International User Summit, attended by over 400 users, media members, and business partners from the European Union, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. Held across three different locations—the Fantawild Test Base, the To Journey Off-Road Track, and the Chery Longshan Test Center—participants explored the limits of Chery’s latest ICE models and experienced firsthand how performance, technology, and user co-creation come together.
The special event, held under the theme “Master of All Terrains, Human-AI Co-Creation,” featured Chery’s flagship TIGGO SUV family and the brand’s first mid-size pickup model, the HIMLA. The TIGGO 9, TIGGO 8, TIGGO 7, and TIGGO 4 highlighted the family’s strength with their powerful, responsive engines, refined chassis tuning, and superior comfort, while the HIMLA underscored Chery’s prowess across multiple product segments with its rugged durability, robust traction system, and off-road capability.
Perfect Adaptation to Track Dynamics

Chery‘s TIGGO family showcased its exceptional handling and stability on the Fantawild dynamic test track. The TIGGO 7 impressed with precise steering responses during cone tests, while the TIGGO 4 offered a blend of agility and comfort thanks to its well-tuned suspension system. The TIGGO 8 stood out by easily absorbing shocks on bumpy roads due to its advanced NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) optimization.
Meanwhile, Chery’s flagship TIGGO 9 took the experience a step further with its 5+2 flexible seating arrangement. It perfectly balanced luxury and functionality, transforming the cabin into a genuine “mobile lounge” with a 12-way massage feature for the driver’s seat, a “Queen’s Seat” with a zero-gravity feel, and 39 storage compartments.
HIMLA Pickup Redefines Power with Off-Road Capabilities

Chery’s new pickup model, the HIMLA, featuring superior off-road capabilities, was the star of the event at the To Journey off-road track. Equipped with a 2.3T diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle generated 420 Nm of torque and easily conquered steep slopes and challenging terrains, thanks to its 33°approach and 24° departure angles.
Constructed from 52.2% high-strength steel and 48% galvanized panels, the HIMLA offers long-lasting reliability in tough conditions. The vehicle’s durability has been proven by serving as a “trusted partner” in scientific expeditions as part of the Himalaya Glacier Protection Program.
Intelligent Parking Features Offering Confidence and Convenience
The final test segment focused on smart parking technology. In this area, Chery demonstrated the adaptability of its parking system through real-world scenarios voted on by users. The TIGGO 9’s remote unmanned parking feature received significant praise from participants, allowing drivers to control the vehicle and park from the outside.
Real Progress Through User Co-Creation

The Global Test Drive Event was a vivid example of Chery‘s user co-creation philosophy. Every step, from the design of the event to the collection of feedback, was user-centric. Hundreds of opinions gathered from participants will be analyzed and shared directly with the R&D teams to guide future improvements.
Zhu Shaodong, Vice President of Chery International, emphasized: “The voices of our users are the driving force behind every innovation. Through global co-creation, we transform every experience into real product value.”
Brand Exhibition Reveals Chery’s Power and Diversity
The Chery Brand Exhibition, located beyond the test track, offered visitors a broader view of the brand’s product diversity and expertise. The ARRIZO 9 and TIGGO 9 models drew attention with their luxurious interiors and the Boya Melody sound system, which blends world-class acoustic design with Eastern aesthetics. Furthermore, the unveiling of the “7-Seater Convertible SUV Concept,” which can offer six different layouts and adapt to various scenarios from commuting to cargo transport and camping, further reinforced the brand’s user-centric approach to innovation.
A Global Dialogue Based on Trust and Technology, Beyond the Test Drive
From precise control experiences on the track to off-road durability, from the ease of smart driving to user participation, the 2025 Chery Global User Summit revealed much more than just driving performance. This event was a dialogue between users and the brand, showing a platform where co-creation shapes innovation and real experiences build global trust. With its comprehensive product range, strong engineering foundation, and focus on user needs, Chery continues to prove that its strength lies not only in producing excellent cars but also in forging lasting bonds—bringing people, technology, and mobility together on every road.
