GTi SPIRIT TAKES TO THE TRACK: NEW PEUGEOT 9X8 LIVERY UNVEILED!
Team PEUGEOT TotalEnergies has officially revealed the all-new “GTi” livery for the No. 93 and No. 94 PEUGEOT 9X8 Hypercars, set to compete in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Unveiled at a prestigious event at Espace Vendôme in the heart of Paris, this design merges the brand’s legendary performance heritage with the technology of the future.
A Fusion of Heritage and Future: The Hypergraph Design
Developed through a close collaboration between PEUGEOT Design and PEUGEOT Sport, the new livery brings the brand’s iconic lion claw signature to the stage with a dynamic “Hypergraph” interpretation. Dominated by white, red, and black, this new look is a direct tribute to the legendary PEUGEOT 205 GTi, which became an icon upon its launch in 1984.
The gradient lines at the center of the design are more than an aesthetic choice; they symbolize the continuous flow of millions of data points analyzed in the pursuit of victory during endurance races.
Strategic Visions from Brand Leaders
During the launch, PEUGEOT’s top management emphasized that this new design is not just a color change, but a reflection of the brand’s future roadmap:
Matthias Hossann (PEUGEOT Design Director):
“The new livery of the PEUGEOT 9X8 is a powerful demonstration of the quality of the collaboration between PEUGEOT Design and PEUGEOT Sport. The legendary three claws and the hypergraphics—representing both performance and modernity—combine with a color scheme that reflects the GTi spirit. Our aim is to create an extra dose of emotion and excitement with every lap the 9X8 completes.”
Alain Favey (PEUGEOT CEO):
“The new livery of the PEUGEOT 9X8 perfectly reflects our desire to continue the GTi legend. We are elegantly combining our unique heritage with advanced technological excellence. This design expresses the synergy between on-track performance and our upcoming road models, such as the new 280 HP E-208 GTi.”
Emmanuel Esnault (Team Principal, Team PEUGEOT TotalEnergies):
“A new livery always symbolizes renewed ambitions and the start of a new dynamic for the team. This design embodies the spirit of the project and the strong bond between the brand and competition while remaining firmly rooted in PEUGEOT tradition. We look forward to hitting the track in Qatar for the opening race of the 2026 season.”
