DS Automobiles and PENSKE AUTOSPORT have presented the design of their new racing car, the DS E-TENSE FE25, which will take to the track in Valencia for pre-season Formula E testing in a few days. Dazzling in its famous black and gold livery, the new DS E-TENSE FE25 is set to be one of the French-American team’s strongest contenders once again. Maximilian Günther and Taylor Barnard will take the wheel of the new GEN3 Evo race car developed by DS Performance.
DS Automobiles has been a cornerstone of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship since its Season 2 entry, achieving unique successes and setting many records, including two double championships, races, podiums, victories, and pole positions. This year, the brand will begin its 11th racing season in the all-electric series.
Ahead of the official test days scheduled to start from October 27–31 at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain, the French premium car manufacturer, a member of the Stellantis Group, has unveiled the latest design of its electric single-seater racing car.
Standing out with the black and gold colors that have become the symbol of DS Automobiles on tracks around the world, the two DS E-TENSE FE25 race cars—driven by Maximilian Günther (Car No. 7) and Taylor Barnard (Car No. 77)—have been equipped with new accents in specific areas (e.g., halo, mirrors, front, and rear wings) to make the DS PENSKE design even more striking. The powertrain, developed by DS Performance and located beneath the body, perfectly reflects the brand’s expertise in electric technologies.
With Maximilian Günther, who achieved two victories and two pole positions in Season 11, and Taylor Barnard, Formula E‘s rising star who secured five podiums and two pole positions in just 19 races, DS Automobiles aims to add new victories and championships to its list of successes. Following the official test in Valencia, the ABB FIA Formula E Championship will kick off Season 12 with the first race in São Paulo (Brazil) on December 6, with the season comprising a total of 17 races.
