Iveco’s Two New Electric Vans to be Built on Stellantis Pro One Platforms!
A Major Step Toward Sustainable Mobility in the Commercial Vehicle Industry
One of the world’s largest mobility companies, Stellantis N.V., and leading commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco have announced a strategic collaboration. As part of this agreement, Stellantis Pro One will produce two fully electric vehicles under the Iveco brand, aimed at expanding its medium and large van segment in Europe. These models will be sold and serviced through Iveco’s authorized dealer network and are set to be manufactured at Stellantis’ facilities in Atessa (Italy), Gliwice (Poland), and Hordain (France).
This 10-year agreement marks a significant milestone in the commercial vehicle industry’s transition to sustainable mobility, with the new models expected to hit the European market by mid-2026.
Strengthening Market Leadership Through Strategic Partnerships
Stellantis, a global powerhouse in mobility solutions, continues to enhance its position through strategic alliances. As part of this initiative, Stellantis Pro One has signed a contract to supply two fully electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to Iveco for the European market. These vehicles will be built on Stellantis Pro One’s dedicated electric van platforms, supporting gross vehicle weights ranging from 2.8 to 4.25 tons.
Industry Experts Weigh In on the Collaboration
Discussing the partnership, Luca Sra, President of Iveco Group’s Truck Business Unit, emphasized:
“By introducing two innovative and versatile battery-electric vehicles into our light commercial vehicle lineup, we are strengthening our competitive edge in the van segment. Partnering with Stellantis Pro One allows us to leverage their extensive expertise in Italy and Europe, where both companies have a strong historical presence. This collaboration will greatly benefit our customers, particularly in last-mile logistics operations across Europe.”
On the Stellantis side, Jean Philippe Imparato, Head of Stellantis’ Enlarged Europe Operations, shared his enthusiasm:
“We are proud to collaborate with a global leader like Iveco. Our success is built on operational excellence, product quality, and our commitment to reducing emissions through advanced battery-electric powertrain technology. This partnership further reinforces our leadership in the European light commercial vehicle market.”
Production and Market Launch Plans
The two new Iveco electric vans will be manufactured at Stellantis Pro One’s Atessa, Gliwice, and Hordain plants before being delivered to Iveco Group. From there, they will be distributed across Europe, including the UK, through authorized dealerships and service centers.
The models will cover gross vehicle weights of 2.8 to 3.1 tons and 3.5 to 4.25 tons, expanding Iveco’s existing electric vehicle portfolio. These new additions will complement the iconic eDaily model, which is produced at Iveco’s historic Suzzara facility and electrified at the Brescia plant.
This long-term commitment underscores the shared goal of both companies: accelerating the commercial vehicle industry’s shift toward sustainability. Iveco specifically chose Stellantis Pro One as a partner due to its expertise in electrification and strong commitment to reducing CO2 emissions.
With the first deliveries expected by mid-2026, this collaboration is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electric commercial vehicles in Europe.
