One of the world’s leading mobility giants, Stellantis, has announced a new partnership with Ayvens, a global leader in sustainable mobility. As part of this collaboration, Stellantis vehicles leased by Ayvens Italy will be refurbished at the Circular Economy Hub in Turin’s Mirafiori complex. This initiative ensures that customers benefit from Stellantis‘ direct expertise and high-quality refurbishment for both mechanical and cosmetic enhancements.
A Commitment to Sustainable Mobility
Stellantis N.V. continues to strengthen its investments and partnerships to drive sustainability in the automotive sector. In collaboration with Ayvens—formed from the expertise of ALD Automotive and LeasePlan—the company aims to extend the lifecycle of leased vehicles by refurbishing those returned at the end of their leasing term for renewed contracts.
Refurbishment at the Turin Circular Economy Hub
Stellantis has designated a 5,000-square-meter facility at the Mirafiori Circular Economy Hub for vehicle refurbishments. In the initial phase, more than 1,000 vehicles per year—including those from Ayvens‘ leasing fleet—will undergo a thorough inspection followed by targeted mechanical and bodywork improvements before being leased again. Customers opting for the used vehicle leasing program will also have access to authorized Stellantis service centers for routine maintenance and bodywork checks.
At the core of this partnership lies a shared commitment to promoting sustainable business practices through the circular economy model. By extending the lifespan of vehicles and their components, the initiative aims to reduce waste, minimize the demand for raw materials, and offer more accessible and cost-effective mobility solutions.
Industry Leaders Weigh In
Antonio Stanisci, Commercial Director at Ayvens Italy, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership with Stellantis represents another step forward in refining our business model, which focuses on managing vehicles from the very first leasing cycle. For a leasing company like Ayvens, this is a unique initiative, and we are confident that this cooperation will bring significant benefits to both parties and the industry as a whole. Our goal is to extend vehicle lifespans and encourage reuse. We have been offering re-leasing services for pre-owned vehicles for years, and we rely on a rigorous selection process focused on quality and efficiency. Additionally, we implement strategic pricing to cater to customers looking for these solutions. All of this contributes to a positive process, serving as a real driving force for the circular economy.”
Reducing Natural Resource Consumption
Francesco Monaco, European Director at SUSTAINera, underscored the environmental impact of the initiative, adding, “This partnership is a significant step towards Stellantis’ ambition of becoming a key player in the circular economy. It reaffirms our commitment to carbon reduction in line with our group strategy. Our REMAN, REUSE, REPAIR, and RECYCLE product range ensures that all SUSTAINera spare parts adhere to manufacturer-approved production standards, offering customers an excellent price-to-quality ratio while also contributing to the reduction of natural resource consumption. We take great pride in Ayvens’ trust in our services. By positioning Stellantis Sustainera as a benchmark in the automotive refurbishment sector, we provide strong incentives to breathe new life into used vehicles under optimal conditions.”
With this bold move, Stellantis is reinforcing its role in the sustainable transformation of the automotive industry, ensuring that vehicles stay on the road longer while reducing environmental impact and optimizing resources.
