DS Automobiles Becomes Title Sponsor of the French SailGP Team!
French premium automaker DS Automobiles has reached a historic agreement to become the title sponsor of the France SailGP Team. Now officially named the “DS Automobiles SailGP Team France,” this partnership marks a first for an automotive brand at this level of the prestigious global championship. Competing in high-speed F50 catamarans that surpass 100 km/h, the team will carry DS Automobiles’ colors across five continents throughout the 2026 season.
Starting with the season opener in Perth, Australia this January, the French F50 catamaran and its crew are set to showcase French excellence on the world stage. This partnership coincides with a new chapter for DS Automobiles, as the brand prepares to complete the launch of three new models over the next 18 months.
A Shared Vision of Performance and Responsibility

The DS Automobiles SailGP Team France joins a community of prestigious partners (including ALL Accor, L’Oréal Group, and Leyton) united by a common French goal: creating a high-performance, sustainable, and value-driven sports ecosystem.
Xavier Peugeot, CEO of DS Automobiles, commented:
“I am very happy with this partnership between DS Automobiles and SailGP Team France. Both share the same goal: bringing French excellence to the highest level through technology and innovation.”

SailGP serves as an open-air laboratory where precision meets technological power. For DS Automobiles, the competition is a natural fit, especially regarding the Impact League—a secondary championship within the series that ranks teams based on their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and accelerate sustainable innovation.
Clean Mobility on Land and Water:
- Technical Synergy: Just as it did by becoming the first premium brand in Formula E in 2015, DS Automobiles views SailGP as a catalyst for technical innovation. Lessons learned on the water and the track are directly transferred to the development of DS production vehicles.
- Decarbonization: Through the K-Challenge LAB, the team is focused on the decarbonization of the maritime sector, ensuring every innovation contributes to a more sustainable future.
