Maserati Dazzles at the Brussels Motor Show: A Century of the Trident

Italian luxury icon Maserati took center stage at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, showcasing a versatile and elegant new-generation lineup. The event officially inaugurated the “Year of the Trident,” celebrating 100 years of the brand’s iconic logo and its century-long heritage in motorsport, dating back to the legendary Tipo 26’s debut in 1926.

The Maserati stand in Hall 11 became a focal point for enthusiasts and the press alike, blending historical prestige with a bold sustainable vision. The display featured four key models that define the brand’s current evolution: the MCPURA Cielo, GranCabrio Folgore, Grecale Folgore, and the European premiere of the Grecale Lumina Blu Special Edition.

The “Folgore” Era: Performance Meets Electrification

Maserati showcased its commitment to a 100% electric future with the Folgore range, proving that luxury and high performance can coexist with zero emissions:

• GranCabrio Folgore: Finished in Bianco Astro, it stands as the fastest electric cabriolet on the market with a top speed of 290 km/h, offering an unmatched open-air experience for four passengers.
• Grecale Folgore: The premium electric SUV offers a range of up to 580 km (WLTP). The model on display featured the exclusive Verde Royale exterior from the Fuoriserie collection.
• MCPURA Cielo: Representing the pinnacle of internal combustion, this super sports car is powered by the iconic Nettuno V6 engine. It was showcased in the stunning Aqua Rainbow launch color.

European Premiere: Grecale Lumina Blu

The Brussels show also served as the stage for the first European appearance of the Grecale Lumina Blu Special Edition. This version targets collectors seeking a sophisticated aesthetic, featuring:

• Night Interaction Exterior: A deep blue finish contrasted by yellow brake calipers and a yellow Trident logo on the C-pillar.
• Artisanal Interior: Premium Chocolate leather upholstery paired with open-pore briarwood trim.

Art on Wheels: The “Meccanica Lirica” Projects

To further honor the Trident Year, Maserati presented the Meccanica Lirica concepts—a tribute to the return of production to the historic Modena plant. These one-off creations, the GranTurismo Meccanica Lirica and GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica, draw inspiration from Italy’s operatic and theatrical heritage.

• The GranTurismo variant, finished in Rosso Velluto, evokes the intimacy of an opera house, while the GranCabrio in Oro Lirico captures the warmth of stage lighting.

Additionally, the GT2 Stradale was on display, representing Maserati’s most powerful road-legal track car, directly derived from its racing heritage.
