DS Automobiles Unveils the “Taylor Made N°4 Concept” in Brussels
DS Automobiles, the pioneer of French luxury and the “Art of Travel,” has debuted the “Taylor Made N°4 Concept” at the Brussels Motor Show. Developed in collaboration with Taylor Barnard, the young talent of the DS PENSKE Formula E team, the concept reflects the brand’s long-standing commitment to electric racing and high-tech design.
At the 102nd Brussels Motor Show, DS Automobiles brought a touch of French elegance to Hall 5. The centerpiece of their stand is the “Taylor Made N°4 Concept,” a unique project designed to celebrate Taylor Barnard joining the DS PENSKE family.
Alongside this visionary concept, the brand introduced the DS PERFORMANCE Line Limited Edition, a production series directly inspired by the DS E-TENSE FE25 race car.
Where Racing Meets Personal Style

The “Taylor Made N°4 Concept” was developed by the DS DESIGN STUDIO based on Taylor Barnard’s personal vision. The model boasts an aerodynamic, lowered silhouette and a wider track that draws inspiration from the worlds of professional racing and video games.
Taylor Barnard, DS PENSKE Driver, shared his excitement:
“I imagined it, and DS Automobiles built it. The N°4 was already my favorite model, so I was honored when the design team invited me to this project. Designing a sports car that I could drive every day was a thrilling experience. This unique design is the result of an extraordinary collaboration that reflects the immense talent of the people at DS.”
Titanium Innovation: The Four Faces of N°4
The concept’s color and material palette was meticulously curated by the brand’s “Colors, Materials, and Finishes” department. Inspired by racing and digital aesthetics, the concept features four distinct titanium-based finishes:
- Pure Titanium: A clean, sophisticated metallic finish that highlights the car’s sharp lines.
- Liquid Titanium: A high-reflection lacquered finish on the front for a dynamic contrast.
- Woven Titanium: A revolutionary metallic textile that replaces traditional carbon fiber in aerodynamic areas (front spoiler and air intakes). This hand-applied material showcases the peak of DS upholstery craftsmanship.
- Black Titanium: A deep, intense black used on the roof and spoiler to emphasize the concept’s radical nature.
To complete the look, the signature “Light Gold” accents of the DS PERFORMANCE line were applied to the mirrors, wheel hubs, and emblems. As a personal touch, purple accents (Barnard’s favorite color) adorn the door handles, and his lucky number 77 is subtly integrated into the hood emblem and rear diffuser lighting.
From the Track to the Street: The N°4 E-TENSE

The Brussels stand served as the first public display for the new DS N°4 E-TENSE. Inspired by the DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE concept, the N°4 features vertical LED lights and a highly ergonomic interior.
The N°4 offers the widest range of electric powertrains in its segment:
-
Fully Electric: 213 HP and a 450 km WLTP range, featuring EV Routing, battery pre-conditioning, and e-Remote functions.
-
Plug-in Hybrid: Upgraded from 225 HP to 240 HP to meet Euro 7 standards, offering 81 km of pure electric range.
-
Hybrid: A 145 HP version offering up to 1,000 km of total range, with up to 50% of city driving possible in electric mode.
A Virtual Experience on Roblox
