Honda is set to make a powerful impression at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, one of Europe’s most iconic motorsport events, taking place in West Sussex, England from July 10–13, 2025. With a broad lineup that spans cutting-edge automobiles, motorcycles, and even robotics, Honda will blend nostalgia, innovation, and electrification in a festival experience like no other.

Electrified Visions & World Premieres

This year, Honda brings a cinema-inspired booth experience that puts visitors right into the heart of the action. Leading the brand’s electrification journey is the Honda 0 SUV Prototype, which debuted at CES 2025 and will be shown in Europe for the first time at Goodwood. Also featured are the EV Fun Concept and Urban EV Concept, Honda’s full-size electric motorcycles revealed at EICMA 2024.

One of the most anticipated highlights will be the European debut of the production version of the Prelude e:HEV hybrid coupé, which will be demonstrated live in a dynamic hill run. Honda will also unveil the Super EV Concept, a compact, fully electric city car making its world premiere on the Goodwood Hill. Recently tested on British roads, this model brings together fun-to-drive dynamics and practical, smart design.

A Celebration of Motorsport Icons

Goodwood’s legendary hillclimb will roar to life as Honda showcases its racing heritage. Motorsports legends Ricky Brabec, winner of the 2024 Dakar Rally, and Isle of Man TT icon John McGuinness will take the stage with thrilling demonstrations.

In tribute to the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, Honda will revisit a landmark moment: the return of the Williams FW11, the first F1 car powered by Honda to win a Constructors’ Championship in 1986. Powered by the 1,500-horsepower RA166E engine, the FW11 will be driven once again by Nigel Mansell, re-creating a legendary moment in F1 history on the Goodwood Hill.

Interactive Film-Set Experience

Visitors to Honda’s immersive stand will enter a cinematic world where they can:

  • Hop into a Civic Type R and create their own XR-powered short film
  • Star in a Gold Wing desert adventure scene
  • “Fly” while hanging from a HondaJet wing in a movie studio simulation

This unique film set experience will reflect Honda’s theme of “Dream Tech” — fusing imagination with technology across all of its product ranges.

A Parade of Legends

The festival will feature a special Civic Type R parade on July 10, showcasing all generations of the iconic model. Leading the parade will be John McGuinness riding the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. The legendary Honda Gold Wing, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will also be spotlighted in a dedicated feature.

A Festival to Remember

Honda Motor Europe Senior Vice President Hans de Jaeger expressed his excitement:
“We’re thrilled to return to Goodwood with a dynamic showcase that represents the full breadth of the Honda brand. From electric mobility to motorsports legends, the 2025 Festival of Speed will be an unforgettable celebration of innovation and performance.”

Meanwhile, HRC President Koji Watanabe noted:
“This is a historic year for Honda in F1, and seeing Nigel Mansell back in the Williams FW11 will be an extraordinary moment for fans. We’re proud to celebrate Honda’s racing legacy with the global motorsport community.”
