Jaguar, has unveiled its latest concept vehicle, the TYPE 00, at Miami Art Week, marking the next step in its transformative journey. Designed to embody Jaguar’s new visual identity and “Copy Nothing” philosophy, the concept offers a daring vision of future automotive design, characterized by bold forms and proportions. The first production model inspired by TYPE 00‘a four-door electric GTis set to debut by late 2025.
The TYPE 00 reflects Jaguar‘s creative ethos of Exuberant Modernism, embodying boldness, originality, and artistic expression. Inspired by founder Sir William Lyons’ “Copy Nothing” principle, this concept represents a fearless reinterpretation of Jaguar‘s legacy while embracing cutting-edge innovation.
Equipped with a sculptural silhouette, elongated hood, curved roofline, and 23-inch alloy wheels, TYPE 00 challenges traditional EV design norms. The sleek exterior integrates a flush panoramic roof, a glass-free rear trunk, and signature design elements like the iconic “Leaper,” a nod to Jaguar‘s rich heritage.
TYPE 00 is built on Jaguar‘s new Electric Architecture (JEA) platform, designed from scratch to deliver exceptional driving dynamics, comfort, and range. The concept showcases Jaguar’s commitment to redefining electric mobility with an ambitious WLTP range target of up to 770 km and rapid charging capabilities of 321 km in just 15 minutes.
The interior of TYPE 00 exudes modern sophistication. Featuring butterfly-style doors and a meticulously crafted cabin, the design integrates natural materials such as brass, travertine stone, and woven fabrics. The centerpiece is a 3.2-meter brass spine dividing the dashboard, offering a harmonious blend of luxury and innovation.
Customizable interior experiences elevate the user journey, with options to adjust ambient lighting, soundscapes, and even bespoke scents through natural material selections.
The “TYPE” designation nods to iconic models like the E-TYPE, while the dual zeros represent zero emissions and the concept’s status as a new generation’s inaugural model. The Strikethrough graphic motif and geometric Device Mark logo underline the brand’s bold departure from convention.
During Miami Art Week, Jaguar celebrated its new identity with immersive installations and galleries curated under the theme “Jaguar. Exuberance.” The TYPE 00 was presented in two stunning colorways: Miami Pink, inspired by the pastel tones of Miami’s Art Deco architecture, and London Blue, reflecting the opalescent hues of 1960s Jaguar models.
Jaguar CEO Adrian Mardell expressed optimism about the brand’s transformation:
