Luxury automotive brand Lexus continues to make waves in the worlds of fashion and art. At the upcoming Milan Design Week, held from April 8-13, Lexus will unveil captivating art and design installations inspired by its innovative “Black Butterfly” cockpit. Developed for the LF-ZC concept car, this dual-interface system redefines the interaction between humans, machines, and mobility.

Lexus collaborated with Tokyo-based creative agency SIX Inc. and design studio STUDEO to create the interactive installation “A-Un,” which merges the Black Butterfly concept with traditional Japanese philosophy. Drawing from the principle of Aun no kokyo (breathing in harmony), the installation highlights the seamless synergy between humans and mobility.

As part of Lexus’ commitment to fostering young talent, the “Discover Together” project brings together Bascule Inc. (Japan), Northeastern University (USA), and the Lexus Design Team (Japan). This initiative builds upon the Lexus Design Awards legacy, exploring new possibilities offered by the Black Butterfly cockpit interface and showcasing innovative human-machine interaction experiences.

Set to be displayed at Superstudio Più during Milan Design Week, these groundbreaking projects reinforce Lexus’ vision of challenging conventions in the luxury automotive industry. By integrating design, art, and technology, the brand continues to shape the future of mobility, offering consumers extraordinary experiences beyond just vehicles.
