The POLYGON CONCEPT stands out as a dynamic, compact (under ), concept car that offers a glimpse into future PEUGEOT models. This concept allows drivers to experience this new driving experience in real-world conditions today. Furthermore, PEUGEOT pushed boundaries by exclusively launching this fun concept car on POLYGON City, an island in the Fortnite universe. The PEUGEOT POLYGON CONCEPT is truly a dynamic testbed, testing and introducing numerous innovations that the brand will offer starting in 2027, including the revolutionary Hypersquare® steering wheel and steer-by-wire technology.
Offering an Unprecedented Driving Sensation

With the POLYGON CONCEPT, PEUGEOT‘s Hypersquare® technology becomes a tangible reality, allowing drivers to personally discover the advantages of this new technology combined with unique driving pleasure. For over a century, drivers have used the traditional round steering wheel. Today, PEUGEOT breaks this mold with the Hypersquare®, reinventing the steering wheel. Hypersquare® is not just a new shape; it emphasizes a new ergonomic approach for the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® and a completely electronic control system for the vehicle. This system is equipped with steer-by-wire technology, meaning there is no mechanical link between the steering wheel and the wheels. It is purely electronic control. This technology, proven in the aerospace industry, will be featured in a mass-production PEUGEOT vehicle starting in 2027.
Beyond traditional hydraulic steering, the system adjusts the steering ratio according to speed. At low speeds, such as during parking or maneuvering, the Hypersquare® allows for quick and easy maneuvers without the driver having to move their hands or needing multiple turns. It features a maximum turn of degrees in every direction, which is slightly less than a full turn, compared to the three full turns required for a traditional steering wheel. At higher speeds, a small Hypersquare® input is enough to adjust the car’s direction. The combination of Hypersquare® and steer-by-wire technology provides exceptional responsiveness and precision at high speeds, unmatched comfort during maneuvers, and a unique feeling of agility. Additionally, the steer-by-wire system technology filters out unwanted vibrations, providing optimal feedback from the road while still delivering useful feedback to help the driver understand road conditions.
The New Immersive and Dynamic Interpretation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®

This new interpretation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® presented with the POLYGON CONCEPT is more technologically advanced than ever, combining innovation with simplicity and driving pleasure. The special and revolutionary shape of the PEUGEOT Hypersquare® steering wheel redefines cockpit ergonomics. Essential controls are directly accessible via four round buttons positioned at each corner, allowing the driver to keep their hands on the wheel without lifting their fingers.
Furthermore, with the PEUGEOT POLYGON CONCEPT, the windshield transforms into a screen. All information is projected onto the windshield via a micro-LED panel mounted behind the Hypersquare®. This innovation offers the driver a unique and immersive experience with an exceptional display size: wide and high, equivalent to a screen.
The driver can also personalize the information projected onto the windshield:
-
This revolutionary display technology connects the car’s interior with its exterior design. The micro-LEDs behind the Hypersquare® are visible from the outside, allowing for the display of animations specifically developed for the POLYGON CONCEPT. The color of the interior and exterior lighting can be selected via an innovative rotary dial with an LED display that also shows information like time and temperature.
-
Each driving mode (Cruise, Fun, and Hyper) adjusts the visual environment of the interior and exterior separately. The interior and exterior animations are presented harmoniously and synchronously within an immersive ecosystem. The windshield projection enhances the driving sensation by bringing it closer to the road, creating an even more intense experience. Placed directly in the driver’s field of vision, it maximizes safety and prevents distraction.
Unique French Design Completes PEUGEOT’s Future

The POLYGON CONCEPT brings an entirely new approach to interior design with the Hypersquare® and the next-generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit. This new architecture features a redesigned front console that creates more space in the interior. The living space reserved for front passengers is further optimized with a customizable front console approach. Thanks to specialized fasteners (for items like mobile phones, headphones, hats, backpacks, and even skateboards), every passenger can select their favorite item according to their lifestyle and needs.
Moreover, the sense of living space in the POLYGON CONCEPT‘s cabin is further enhanced by the brightness provided by the extended transparent surface, such as the glass roof, which allows for maximum natural light. This is achieved by positioning the windshield forward and downward and removing the B-pillar. Additionally, the PEUGEOT POLYGON CONCEPT‘s innovative seat design combines a single-piece molded foam in a -printed cover. This allows for the creation of entirely new, comfortable shapes and a clean, geometric design that traditional fabric-covered seats cannot offer.
Even More Fun with Unlimited Personalization
The PEUGEOT POLYGON CONCEPT takes personalization to an entirely new level, adapting to personal tastes and moods. Many elements inside and outside the vehicle can be individually customized. This personalization can be updated endlessly thanks to an optimized design that allows parts to be replaced in just a few minutes. Even the revolutionary Hypersquare® steering wheel can be personalized with different colors and materials, changing the overall atmosphere of the cabin.
Exterior personalization extends from the vehicle’s front fascia to its tires. PEUGEOT‘s partner, Goodyear, developed an innovative laser technology specific to the POLYGON CONCEPT. This technology applies colored engraving to the tire sidewalls, creating a unique and unconventional style. Colors are also available to match different configurations. Furthermore, the Goodyear tires on the PEUGEOT POLYGON CONCEPT are equipped with advanced intelligent tire technology, SightLine. Drivers receive real-time information about the tires and road conditions on the i-Cockpit’s reflective display inside the car.
Sustainable Innovative Design

The PEUGEOT POLYGON CONCEPT was developed to maximize the use of recycled materials throughout the vehicle. The paint used in the interior, for instance, contains components recycled from old tires. Furthermore, the entire cabin (floor, roof, door panels, etc.) is covered with forged textile fabric, an innovative material reflecting PEUGEOT‘s commitment to the circular economy. This fabric is produced from recycled seats of dismantled PEUGEOT vehicles. The seats feature a unique design with a covering developed in collaboration with Spanish company Nagami, utilizing a large-scale printing method from recycled plastic (R-PET), a first in the automotive industry.
Additionally, the POLYGON CONCEPT consists of fewer parts than a traditional car. Fewer parts mean a lighter car, higher efficiency, and easier assembly and disassembly at the end of its life cycle.
Many components of the POLYGON CONCEPT are easily replaceable, allowing the vehicle to evolve with the user and enabling a longer ownership period. This approach also contributes to the vehicle’s extended lifespan. For example, the seat foam can be changed in minutes with a new color or a shape that better fits the body. The Hypersquare® steering wheel, steering wheel trims, and customizable front console components can be easily exchanged to suit different tastes and needs.
