McLaren Racing and Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technology, have announced a strategic partnership that spans across McLaren’s diverse racing portfolio. Schneider Electric will now serve as the Official Energy Technology Partner for the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team, McLaren F1 Academy, and the McLaren United Autosports WEC Hypercar Team.

The partnership centers on a shared culture of data intelligence, accelerated innovation, and engineering excellence. Building on a supplier relationship that has spanned over two decades, the two organizations will now co-develop and deploy advanced energy solutions designed to perform in the world’s most demanding environments—from global racetracks to the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) in Woking, UK.

Efficiency On and Off the Track

The collaboration aims to solve complex energy challenges where consistent performance and reliability are non-negotiable. Key focus areas include:

  • Asset Optimization: Enhancing the performance of existing infrastructure, including McLaren’s wind tunnel, manufacturing facilities, and IT data centers.
  • Sustainability & Electrification: Implementing resilient systems to reduce energy consumption and advancing electrification through cutting-edge technologies.
  • Digital Twin Technology: Leveraging digital twin insights to create data-driven efficiency improvements across all racing operations.
