Škoda Begins Mass Production of Elroq: 600 Units Per Day in Mladá Boleslav

Škoda has officially started mass production of its fully electric Elroq model at its Mladá Boleslav plant. Set to launch in Türkiye in the first half of 2025, Elroq is Škoda’s first all-electric C-SUV, designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable mobility. Since its unveiling, the vehicle has gained significant attention across Europe, securing over 20,000 orders by the end of 2024.
Flexible & High-Tech Production Line
The Elroq is manufactured at Škoda’s Mladá Boleslav facility alongside the Octavia (with internal combustion engines) and the renewed electric Enyaq. This strategic decision optimizes production efficiency, enabling Škoda to quickly adapt to customer demand while reinforcing its global sustainability strategy.
The facility also plays a key role in Škoda’s electrification efforts, producing battery systems for MEB-based electric vehicles. In 2024, it achieved a significant milestone by manufacturing 1 million battery units. Additionally, to accommodate Elroq’s growing demand, Škoda has partially shifted Octavia production to the Kvasiny plant.
Elroq: Making Electric Mobility More Accessible
The Škoda Elroq is the first vehicle to adopt the brand’s “Modern Solid” design language, combining sustainability and innovation. The cabin integrates recycled materials, aligning with Škoda’s eco-friendly approach, while its 13-inch multimedia touchscreen enhances intelligent and intuitive driving.
Škoda offers the Elroq in two battery options: 60 and 85—with 63 kWh and 82 kWh capacities, respectively. Power outputs range from 150 kW to 210 kW, ensuring dynamic performance. The top-tier lithium-ion battery versions provide over 580 km of WLTP range, making long journeys more convenient.
Fast-charging capabilities further enhance everyday usability:
- Elroq 85 supports 175 kW DC charging, reaching 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes.
- Elroq 60 offers 165 kW DC charging, achieving the same charge level in only 24 minutes.
Additionally, its compact 9.3-meter turning radius makes the Elroq ideal for both city driving and long-distance travel, solidifying its position as a versatile electric SUV.
